Clinical Supervision

I am a Washington State approved supervisor who loves working with both new and experienced clinicians who are in, new to, or considering making the transition to private practice.

Going into private practice can bring up a lot of our old “stuff.”

Negative self-talk, self-doubt, imposter syndrome and perfectionism are some of the most common symptoms I see. As someone who has experienced these challenges first-hand, I’ll support you in navigating and understanding them to ensure that your personal work does not interfere with your clinical work.

I’ll also support you in the business side of building a practice so that you can prioritize your clinical work and becoming the best therapist you can be, and devote less of your energy to the stressors of administration. We’ll identify the population(s) of clients you want to work with, explore the therapeutic modalities you align and feel comfortable working with, identify and market to your niche, and of course, navigate the ups and downs that arise when embarking on the path of private practice.

My Approach

I supervise through the same trauma-informed lens that I provide therapy. It’s vital that you feel safe and comfortable enough to share your full experience as a new clinician, both the highs and lows. It’s how we learn! Becoming a therapist is vulnerable and can be scary at times, so it’s incredibly important to me to build a safe and secure relationship with you. I’ll provide you with the structure, knowledge, and support you need to become a confident, skilled and ethical practitioner.

Fees and Format

My fee for supervision is $125 per individual hour and $200 per dyadic hour. Dyadic supervision is a great way to gain supervision hours, as you get additional support from someone going through the same journey and hear the ways in which others are beginning to practice and navigate new challenges. For dyadic supervision, two supervisees split the same hour as well as the cost, so the each clinician will pay $100 per supervision hour.

Supervision sessions may be completed in-person at my office in Capitol Hill or virtually.
